Easy DIY Everyday Cleaning Products and Cleaning Products Recipes

For most of us, cleaning isn’t exactly a fun thing to do. But it is an essential part of our everyday lives. Why not make cleaning a little more fun with our DIY cleaning solutions? From doing laundry to getting your glasses clean, we have a lot of DIY projects for you to enjoy!

Reusable Dryer Sheets

Scented Reusable Dryer Sheets

We use dryer sheets to remove the static cling from our clothes after they have been rolling around in the dryer. But why keep buying dryer sheets when you can easily make your own? Commercial one-time use dryer sheets can be filled with chemicals that aren’t exactly great for your body.

Make your own reusable dryer sheets at home! Think of all the perks. You won’t have to spend any more money on those dryer sheets that get thrown away after one use. You also won’t be dealing with those chemicals and you can choose your favorite scents for your reusable dryer sheets.

Materials: Cotton sheet, scissors - ideally fabric scissors if they are available to you, and your favorite essential oils.

Instructions: Cut the cotton sheet into evenly-sized squares, roughly 6 x 6 inches, though the size will depend on the size of the sheet you are using. Drop 5 drops of essential oil onto each sheet. After 3 or so uses in the dryer, put essential oil drops onto the sheets again. Now they are ready to use!

Cleaning Spray

DIY Eyeglass Cleaning Spray

If you have been wearing glasses basically your whole life, then you probably are all too familiar with the burden of having to clean your smudged glasses on a regular basis. If you are especially unlucky, you might have to wash your glasses several times a day.

And what is the point of wearing glasses if they are always dirty and smudged almost all of the time? While there are eyeglass wipes that you can

buy at the store, you can also make your own eyeglass cleaning spray that works just as well, if not better!

Materials: 2 cups rubbing alcohol, ½ cup water, 2 drops of dish soap, clean and empty spray bottle, and funnel.

Instructions: Use a funnel to pour the rubbing alcohol and water into the spray bottle. Add in the drops of dish soap. Close the bottle and shake it to mix the ingredients. Spray onto glasses and wipe dry with a soft, clean cotton cloth.

Are you tired of having to deal with static cling every time you pull laundry out of the dryer but you just don’t want to spend money on dryer sheets? Luckily, all you need in order to get rid of that static cling is foil. It is so ridiculously easy to do that you’ll wonder why you didn’t figure it out sooner!

Materials: Foil

Instructions: Roll the sheets of foil into fist-sized balls. That’s it! Throw it into the dryer with your wet laundry and have fun being static-free without having to pay for dryer sheets. These balls of foil can be used more than once.
